 2008 Concerts:

 

Friday 3rd October 2008, 7.30pm

Young Musicians from Chetham's International School of Music 

Some of the classical stars of the future are to visit St Peter’s Church tonight at 7.30pm.

Young musicians from Chetham’s International School of Music in Manchester have often been among the finalists of the BBC Young Musician of Year and Classical Star, and the majority go on to professional careers in music.

Visiting Coggeshall will be seven talented youngsters aged between 13 and 17, with the school’s head of accompaniment, Brenda Blewett, and director of music Stephen Threlfall.

The performers comprise:

soprano and flautist Holly Bingham, violinist Magdalena Loth-Hill, Lilya Tymchyshyn on viola, cellist Richard Isaac, oboist Leanne Emery, two brass players, Carlton Sykes on tuba and Dominic Hales on trombone.

Works performed will range from Bach’s Suite in D major to songs by Rachmaninov and Faure and Lennox Berkeley’s Sonatina.

Chetham’s School of Music performs at St Peter ad Vincula, Coggeshall, tonight at 7.30pm.

2009 Thursday Monthly Lunchtime Series - dates to be announced: Admission is free. Music lasts 45 minutes. Light lunches available from 12noon. Concerts start at 12.30pm.

 

Sunday Cream Tea series- dates to be announced:: Come to St Peter's on the first Sunday of each month and enjoy some gentle organ music, a cream tea, and a taste of English summer! Admission free, retiring collection. Teas available from 3.00pm-4.00pm.
