The Reverend Judith
Sweetman has moved to take up a new post near Sudbury. _____________________________ Very dear friends and colleagues!
“The
Lord be with you!”
It hardly seems possible
that I am no longer to stand before you at the altar, or in your midst
with the gospel, to greet you with those wonderful uplifting and
life-giving words! However, we remain one in his Spirit, never to be
divided, and that is a cause for rejoicing.
I will
never forget the wonderful farewell service, with Fr Philip’s words, the
beautiful music, friends from far and wide, including Forest Gate, and a
feast of refreshments sweetly giving a foretaste of the heavenly
banquet!
A huge thank you to you all
for such a poignant and special occasion.
Above
all, though, I want to thank each and every one for the incredibly
generous gift of a beautiful Chasuble and breath-taking cheque of a
further £300!
Rufus too was delighted
with his garden tokens, which will be put to good use in our new and
very large Rectory garden.
I am
sure we will be keeping in touch, and, in the meantime, Rufus and I send
you our very best wishes and thanks for your friendship, and I send my
fondest love in Christ,
Judith
