The Reverend Judith Sweetman on her ordination as a Deacon at Chelmsford Cathedral in 2007, pictured with the Bishop of Chelmsford, the Rt Rev'd John Gladwin, the Archdeacon of Colchester, the Ven Annette Cooper, and Coggeshall's Parish Priest, Fr Philip Banks.

The Reverend Judith Sweetman began as St Peter's curate at a special service of welcome in July 2007, following her Ordination at Chelmsford Cathedral.

Judith completed her two years of theological training at Westcott House, Cambridge, before coming to St Peter's in July 2007 to continue her ministerial formation.

During her welcome service in July 2007, Judith made her Church of England 'Declaration of Assent' (making promises about her ministry). Everyone joined in a reception after the service to welcome Judith and her husband Rufus.
